as you hike down a beautiful desert canyon. At times, the sheer
sandstone walls twist and turn so circuitously they make a mystery of
what lies just a few footsteps downcanyon. Then you arrive at a drop. A
big drop. The canyon floor plummets one hundred feet before
continuing around the next bend!
For most hikers, that drop would be their cue to turn around
